If you insist on packing everything yourself…

*** Make sure that your belongings are packed correctly to maximize their safety.

*** Make sure that each box is packed to full capacity and use packing paper to fill in the voids.

*** Make sure that heavy items such as books are packed in small boxes that are 1.5 cubic feet.

*** Make sure that fragile items are packed in small boxes that are 1.5 cubic feet.

*** Make sure that the bottom and top of each box are triple taped.

*** Make sure that all your walkways are clear for walking and dollies.

*** Defrost and dry any refrigerators or freezers that need to be moved.

*** Set aside important and valuable items such as phones, keys, medicine, jewelry and money to carry with you.

*** Dispose of all items too dangerous to move, including liquids and flammables.

*** Remove all loose articles and breakables from dressers, cabinets, etc. (Clothing may stay)

*** Contact your local cable company, telephone services and post office that you are moving.

*** Purchase wardrobe boxes for rakes, shovels, fishing poles, etc. The less loose items that need to be moved will allow your move go faster.

*** If we need to use elevators make sure to reserve them for your move.

*** Try to plan ahead with parking at all your locations.

*** You hired professionals so sit back and enjoy your move!

*** Remember that you are paying per hour and the less stuff that we have to do the faster your move will be.
